FAQ: MeisterNote joins MeisterTask

This article applies to MeisterNote users who do not use MeisterTask.

On June 27th, 2023, Meister announced that MeisterNote will be permanently paired with MeisterTaskgiving users two tools for the price of one. Take a look at the following FAQs to learn more about how this change may affect your account.

How has my subscription changed?

Your subscription to MeisterNote now grants you access to MeisterTask.

This means that each MeisterNote license you've purchased now includes an additional MeisterTask license. The plan of your new MeisterTask licenses will match your MeisterNote licenses.

Example: If you have five licenses for MeisterNote Business, you now also have five licenses for MeisterTask Business to match.

How will MeisterNote change?

MeisterNote will remain a standalone tool and there will be no immediate changes to its interface or functionality.

In the future, we intend to build deeper and more seamless integrations between MeisterTask and MeisterNote and expand their capabilities for project management and documentation. These changes will not affect each app's value as a standalone tool.

Can I still purchase MeisterNote on its own?

No. MeisterNote can now only be purchased as a package with MeisterTask. However, legacy users of MeisterNote will receive both tools at a discounted rate.

When will these changes take effect?

Now:

We've added a new MeisterTask license for each MeisterNote plan you currently pay for. For example: if you have four licenses for MeisterNote Business, you now also have four licenses for MeisterTask Business.

With your next payment:

When your current (monthly) billing cycle ends, your MeisterNote license(s) will expire. We’ll change the price you pay to the cost of MeisterTask – which includes MeisterNote – at a discounted rate.

Six months later:

After this grace period, your price will change to the advertised MeisterTask rate in your region.

In the future:

Meister builds deeper integrations between MeisterTask and MeisterNote to expand their capabilities for project management and documentation.

Do I need to create a new account to use MeisterTask?

No. Your existing MeisterNote account already has access to MeisterTask.

How can I get started in MeisterTask?

To open MeisterTask, simply use the Project Switcher in the top-right corner of the MeisterNote interface:

OpenMT

Can I continue using MeisterNote without MeisterTask?

In the future, we do intend to build deeper and more seamless integrations between MeisterTask and MeisterNote and expand their capabilities for project management and documentation.
