Create a Table of Contents

This feature is available to all users.


Add Tables of Contents and Page Lists to your notes to help organize your content. 

The Table of Contents block generates a linked list of all H1 & H2 headers in the current note, while the List of Pages block generates a linked list of all pages & sub-pages contained in that note.


Create a Table of Contents

Table of Contents block generates a linked list of all H1 & H2 headers in your current note. Click any item in the list to immediately navigate to that header.

It can be added just like any other content block in Note:

  1. Open any note or page.
  2. Type the slash ( / ) key or click the plus (+) icon to open the Add Block menu.
  3. Select Table of Contents from the list of available content blocks.
  4. Press ENTER.

Automatic Updates

Any changes made to your note's headers (including their order) will be automatically reflected in your table of contents.

Create a Page Directory

The List of Pages block generates a linked directory of all pages contained within the current note.

It can be added just like any other content block in Note:

  1. Open any note or page.
  2. Type the slash ( / ) key or click the plus (+) icon to open the Add Block menu.
  3. Select List of Pages from the list of available content blocks.
  4. Press ENTER.

Automatic Updates

Any changes made to your notes/pages (including their order) will be automatically reflected in your List of Pages.
